Your child's targets

Once a pupil is identified as having a special educational need, a graduated approach to the support provided will be taken. This means that an ‘assess, plan, do, review’ approach to support will be undertaken.

As parents, your voice is fundamental to us. Therefore, you will also be involved with the review of targets for your child. At the start of the academic year, your child's class teacher will share your child's target plan with you - this will be at the first parent consultation meeting (18th October 2023). When this is updated on a half termly basis, you will receive an updated copy. Teachers will welcome your feedback so remember the door is always open - please share your thoughts with the class teacher. You can also speak to Mrs Banks or Miss Khatoon if you wish to discuss your child's targets.

What does the target sheet look like?

In the classroom, your child's teacher will provide a desk target sheet in order to support your child to meet their targets.
