Sensory Room
A sensory room is a controlled and intentionally created space that provides multi-sensory resources to support a pupil's sensory needs to enable them to engage in learning. We have designed a room which combines a range of stimuli to help children develop and engage their senses; this includes lights, colours, sounds & sensory soft play resources, all used within a safe environment that allows those using it to explore and interact without risk. We have created a space which aims to provide our pupils with the individualised sensory input they need to self-regulate, so that they can be better prepared for learning and interacting with others.
