In Reception we use Power Maths as a whole-class mastery programme which is created in partnership with White Rose Maths (used in Years 1-6 and supports the smooth transition) and recommended by the DfE. It is designed to spark curiosity and excitement and help you nurture confidence in maths using the CPA approach (Concreate, Pictorial and Abstract). It is built around a child-centred lesson design that models and embeds a growth mindset approach to maths and focuses in helping all children to build a deep understanding of maths concepts. It also has a continuous and embedded approach to teacher support and professional development throughout.
