Faith Council

Faith Council

Welcome to the Rosary Catholic Primary School. We are the Faith Council. At the beginning of the year, each class chooses one person to be a Faith Council member so that every year is represented. Following this, every half term we come together to discuss the Catholic Life of the school and how we can promote important values across the school.

With other groups in school, we have created the ‘Life at the Rosary’ bulletin which shares and celebrates events that have taken place at school and how we as a community live, love and learn through Jesus Christ.

The Faith Council 2022

The children who are undertaking this very special vocation this year have received their Certificate of Commitment and are now ready to live our their mission within the Rosary community.

Celebrating with our parish

This year there is a very special celebration at the Rosary with the Rosary Church celebrating its 90th anniversary. The Faith Council have invited parishioners to school for a very special tea together to find out more about the history of the church.

90th Anniversary Celebrations

Our Faith Council led a prayer service and served afternoon tea to some of the parishioners from the Rosary Church. We were delighted to welcome Fr Kelly back for this wonderful and momentous occasion.

Harvest of Hope

The Faith Council have lead us in prayer giving thanks for all we have and praying for those who may be struggling at the time. Donations have been collected and delivered to Sifa Fireside by some of our faith councilors.

Supporting in the community

The Faith Council continue to support the Irish Welfare group and have enjoyed sharing our 'Hello Book' with our friends at St Ambrose Barlow Church.

Big Switch On

This Advent we have given thanks to those who 'light up' our lives. We have thought about members of our families, school and wider community who make a difference in our lives and created a decoration for our tree to give thanks. On Friday 2nd December we all lit up our trees during a special celebration assembly.

Our Lord’s love shines out just as much through a little soul who yields completely to His Grace as it does through the greatest.

St Therese of Lisieux

Life at the Rosary 2022 - 2023

Dear brothers and sisters, let us have a good journey together! May we be pilgrims in love with the Gospel and open to the surprises of the Holy Spirit. Let us pray for a church open to everyone”

– Pope Francis
