• Steps to Calvary - Week 5

  Our final week and we have walked an extra 1301 miles. This brings us to a grand total of 6776 miles that we have walked, ran and cycled together as a Rosary Community. We have travelled from Rome to Birmingham with three extra miles to spare, ensuring we are safely back in Birmingham just in time for the Easter holidays. It has been an excellent effort by children, parents, staff and governors. As a Rosary community, we can achieve anything together. 

  

• Steps to Calvary Week 4

  Week and we have walked a further 1447 miles. That is 5475 miles int total. We are super active at the Rosary school. We have travelled from Ankara, Turkey and taken a detour to Rome to say hello to the Pope. We explored the Vatican City. This week has been Charity week and we have been reflecting on the Walk for Water for Cafod whilst we have been fundraising. This is even more poignant with the walking that we have been doing in school. 

  

• Steps to Calvary Week 3

  Week 3 and we have walked 1125 miles, bringing our total over the last three week to 4010 miles. What a fantastic job everyone is doing. We have finally reach Calvary and reflect upon Jesus' last journey to the cross. We are now on our way back to Birmingham but will make a few stops on the way. We have reached Ankara in Turkey. Hopefully, we will make it to Rome by next week. Keep up the great work everyone!

  

• Steps to Calvary Week 2

  After a second week of walking and being active, we have travelled 2895 miles. What an absolutely fantastic effort everyone! We have reached Damascus in Syria with only 267 miles to go to our destination - Calvary. As we are doing so well, we will travel back to Birmingham and stop off at a few pilgrimages along  the way. Keep up the good work and let's see where we end up next week.

  Week 1

  Fantastic effort last week children. We have completed 1440 miles as a school community which is just under half way to Calvary. We have travelled as far as Belgrade Fortress, Serbia. Keep up the great work and we are looking forward to seeing our progress next week.

  

• Steps to Calvary

  During Lent, we will all be participating in The Steps to Calvary initiative in order to not only join as a community but to get active as a community. There are 3162 miles between Birmingham and Calvary. And we as a school are going to walk the 3162 miles.

   

  To do this, we are asking you and your family to track how many miles you complete in a week. There is a record sheet which the teachers will send out for you to track your miles and send back in so that we can add it to the school's total.

   

  You will need to calculate your miles that you walk, run or cycle. Around 2000 steps is the equivalent of 1 mile if you have a step tracker. Any steps will count. Maybe have target of steps each day.

   

  Each week, we will update you through our school website and school assembly on how many we miles we have completed and where we are on our journey to Calvary.

• Use you X box/ PlayStation for home learning on Teams

  Using Xbox or PlayStation

  to Access Remote Learning

  An alternative method of accessing remote learning during times of lockdown. Xbox

  1. Plug a keyboard in to the Xbox USB slot
  2. Go in to my games and apps
  3. Find Microsoft Edge and select
  4. Type in: Office365 and log in as you would in school
  5. You can then access your work and use key packages including:
     • Teams
     • Word
     • Excel
     • PowerPoint
     • Your emails
  6. To move around you use the Xbox controller or plug in a mouse

   

   

  PlayStation

  1. Identify the PlayStation internet browser icon (it is WWW with dots around it)
  2. Press the PlayStation logo on the controller
  3. Go to the library and find options for games and applications
  4. Go in to applications and you will find the internet browser
  5. Type Office365 into the browser and log in as you would in school
  6. You can then access your work and use key packages including:
     • Teams
     • Word
     • Excel
     • PowerPoint
     • Your emails

• SCHOOL CLOSURE JAN 2021

  Following the government guidelines The Rosary will be closed to all pupils from Tuesday 4th Jan 2021 unless they qualify for a place as a key worker/vulnerable. Check the criteria here:
